Use of Hypertext links in Internet access:

From the user’s view point, the Web comprised a vast, worldwide collection of documents which is pages. Every page may comprise links pointers to other associated pages, anywhere into the world. All users can follow a link that then takes them to the page pointed to. Its process can be repeated until further notice. Pages which point to other pages use Hypertext.

Hypertext is any text which cross-references textual information along with hyperlinks. Since all the text into the web is linked through hyperlinks this is of highest usage for Internet access.
