To complete the different parts of the mini-project, you will assume the role of a consultant for your client, Redbox. The deliverables you will submit will allow you to use a sub-set of selected activities in an IS project (hence, the term "mini-project", and more appropriate for summer course work). Presumably, you are all somewhat familiar with Redbox, so that will assist you in completing the work for your client related to some of those selected activities.

1. Redbox #1 - Project overview - The deliverable will include an overview of Redbox, some financial data, history, SWOT analysis, and dependency on IT for functions like reservations, returning, and paying. It is important that material you include is not taken directly from sources but rather put into your own words. Bullet point lists are acceptable in places.

2. Redbox #2 - Requirements determination - The deliverable will be based on a review of the Redbox.com site from which you will identify 4-5 major functional areas and then supply 4-6 business requirements for each area as well as a separate list of non-functional requirements. The functional requirements may include things like inventory, reservations, payment collection and processing, and promotions on its Web site. You are encouraged to put good thought into this effort since the functions you identify will be used in the subsequent work on this mini-project.

3. Redbox #3 - Process Modeling - The deliverable will be a context diagram for the Redbox system and a level-0 data flow diagram for the major functions you identified in #2 above.

4. Redbox #4 - Screen Design - The deliverable will be low-fidelity wireframes for (1) a reversed engineered design of Redbox's home page, and (2) the next hierarchical level of that home page wireframe for each of the major functions you identified on the front page in #2 above. Thus, you will have 5-6 wireframes depending on how many major functions you identified in #2.

5. Redbox #5 - Controls - due June 29 The deliverable will include a list of controls for each of the functions you identified in #2 above and used in #3 and #4.
