Read it and watch youtube clip, then give me your personal opinion(point of view)!!

This five minute YouTube video is based in Switzerland, but emphasizes the economics of ICT's globally. Ron Raffensperger, director of cloud computing for Huawei technologies is interviewed regarding the economics of telecommunication. Ron starts out by saying that there has been 10 years of economic development, and now there are bad times around the world economically. He believes that there are many issues facing the ICT industry and technology and knowledge are there, but we have not understood how to make it into a business and engage the customers and how to provide benefits that customers are willing to pay for.
The video also discusses the changes over the last couple of years, such as society and regulation changes. The rise of the impact from social networking and everyone being interconnected has really "leaped", as Ron says.
I think this video relates very well to this weeks topic and to the readings. This video shows that ICT's are practically the "driver" of today's society, in which this weeks readings show that ICT's have a huge impact on everyday life and that we live in a new "information-based networked economy."
