The purpose of this section is to evaluate specific strategy solutions and toolsets including key performance indicators, and business strategies. Journal articles will be reviewed regarding specific information system implementations, and enable the reader to make relevant software design and selection choices based on proven research and documented case studies.

Assignment 4 Electronic Commerce and Architecture 
The assessment of an electronic commerce system is important because business leaders need to be well versed in current technology offerings. Electronic commerce has evolved and continues to evolve as more efficient technologies become available for the transfer of data. In addition, professional groups and governmental agencies play a role in standardizing and regulating ecommerce.

Main Task: Analyze the Evolution of e-Commerce
In this Activity you will study the evolution of ecommerce in your paper, be sure to:


· Analyze and present a timeline on how e-commerce applications have evolved since the information technology evolution. 

· Discuss the issues faced in transitioning from a traditional paper system to a electronic solution,

· Assess role of professional standards and governmental regulations in the evolution of ecommerce, and

· Choose a specific e-commerce software solution and interview a developer (or use a published business case). In the interview/case study, determine and analyze the knowledge level and skills sets needed to operate and manage 21st century e-commerce systems. 

Support your paper with a minimum of five (5) external resources In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Length: 6-8 pages not including title and reference pages
