Suppose a BGPv4 router receives an update for the prefix P which indicates AS1 as the next hop (and router has never seen P before). The router then sets its MRAI timer, however before MRAI timer expires, the router receives another update for the same prefix with the shorter AS PATH which points to AS2 as the next hop. What must the router do?

Now, suppose that before last MRAI timer (set in the previous problem) expires router receives another update to P along with the longer AS PATH length and a next hop of AS1 again. When MRAI timer expires, what (if anything) must the router do now?
