Spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)

Create a financial spreadsheet on a topic of your choice with at least 5 rows and 5 columns of numbers. Row or column text headings do not count towards the 5X5 requirement.
Include an approriate worksheet title in the first row.
Include at least one formula somewhere in the speadsheet. Ex. B3+B4
Include at least one function somewhere in the spreadsheet. Ex. SUM(B3:B9) Other popular functions include: IF, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE
Format the worksheet using Font, Style, Size, and Color options
Include a chart of your choice that allows you to show the following:
A Chart Title
A Legend
A Titled horizontal axis (in addition to the labels that are already there)
A Titled vertical axis (in addition to the labels that are already there)
Thus, you need to pick a chart that has BOTH the horizontal and vertical axes. This is the chart that will be linked to the word processing documents below.

Word Processing/Mail Merging (Microsoft Word)

Create a letter that you will merge with the data source file (Microsoft Access or Excel) and spreadsheet file (Microsoft Excel) that you created above. The letter body text/topic should be creatively related to your database and spreadsheet. It is ok if your letter is longer than one page. You will turn in two files for the word processing part of this assignment, the main document AND the merged document. The merged file will end up showing all required ten letters, thus this file will be at least 10 pages long. Note: You have to choose to "Edit Individual Letters" in order to get the letters into a new document with all ten instead of having to click the arrows through each letter.
The main document must include a letterhead with the return address. The text written should be related to the database and spreadsheet content. This letter must be professionally written with no grammar or spelling errors. The main document must also show the following fields:

Name and address fields at the top (Greeting Line)
Salutation with the first and last name fields (Dear <> <>,)
Body of the letter with one field of your choice (Some ideas are to insert a phone number or email in the letter somewhere.)
The main document must have the following from the spreadsheet:

The linked chart (not embedded, not a hyperlink, not an icon) somewhere in the document. You can easily link by copying and pasting the chart from Excel to Word.
The merged document must have the following information for all ten people:

Names and addresses at the top (Ex. Linda Robinson, etc.)
Salutation with the actual person's first and last names
Body of the letter with actual text of the merged field of your choice
The merged document must have the following from the spreadsheet:

The linked chart (same as in the main document above)
What to Turn in:

A compressed/zipped file containing 4 files: the data source file (Access or Excel), the spreadsheet file (with data and chart), the word processing main document showing all «merged fields» placeholders, and the 10-page (or more) merged word file, each name on a new page. Please turn this in as a .zip file.
