Q. Illustrate TCP - IP Networking Model?

TCP/IP is an acronym for Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol. It is a collection of applications, protocols and services. TCP/IP protocol were developed before OSI model hence its layers don't match with OSI model.

TCP/IP protocol suit is made of five layers: Physical, data link, network, transport and application. First four layers provide physical standards network interface, transport mechanism and internetworking while last layer includes functionalities of the three topmost layers in OSI model.
