Problem

A handheld radio has a small omnidirectional antenna. The first amplifier stage of the radio provides a 20-dB gain and has a noise temperature of 1200°K. The second amplifier stage provides another 20-dB gain and has a noise temperature of 3500°K. What is the combined noise figure of the antenna and first two stages of the radio? If the baseband processing of the radio requires an SNR of 9 dB in 5 kHz, what is the receiver sensitivity?
