Modern cars utilize on Onboard Data (OBD) Recording for performance monitoring and fault localization. Auto machines use OBD2 readers to extract data from the recorders to assist in maintenance.

Local, state and federal agencies have begun using automobile recorded data as part of their accident scene reconstruction.

Insurance companies offer discounts to good drivers that volunteer to use a data extracted from the automobile.

I would like to discuss privacy related issues and big brother watching concerns related to automobile data recorders.
