Choose a Business Case only for your assignment two

Business Case one:

Smart application to monitor cars movement and telemetry

AB Pty. Ltd is a delivery company who has 20 trucks to deliver different products for third party. They have their set delivery zone which covers entire Cairns CBD, QlD, Australia. Because of the expanding demand their trucks are always busy. Most recently, they are receiving complaining about delayed delivery and long queue of pending delivery. Ltd appointed a business analyst to identify potential improvements require to resolve raising issues and to make the business ready for future growth. The business analyst make two main recommendations, one of them is to develop a smart application to efficiently use available trucks.

The details report for smart ICT application recommendation is below:

- Device the entire delivery area in four zone ( east, west, south and east)
- Divide your entire car fleet in four groups and allocate each group to each zone.
- Any movement of the vehicle outside of their zone should be tracked.
- The application should collect the telemetry of the vehicle periodically to check current status and possible repair requirements
[Optional]
- It will be good if the application can track the movement of the truck within the zone too

The AB Pty. Ltd appointed you as an ICT professional to develop connected smart vehicle application for simulation in Bluemix.

Some helpful information for Assessment three:

You are allowed to use available services of IBM Bluemix like IoT foundation services to develop smart applications. There are many demo codes like Connected Vehicle application demo available to help you implement smart vehicle in IBM Bluemix.

Business Case Two:

Smart application to remotely monitor a patient's movement details

AB hospital has a physiotherapy department with 20 patients. The hospital is very renowned for their services. It is receiving increasing pressure to increase their capacity to serve more physiotherapy patients. They have appointed a business analyst to identify possible service issues may occur if they increase their capacity to serve 50 + patients at a time which is more than double than the current number. The analyst identified three main possible issues and one of them was to monitor patient's movement. Tracking 50 + patients movement manually is cumbersome and not feasible. The hospital management decided to develop a smart application to track movement of their patients. The application will be able to perform following tasks -

- Track the movement of a patient with in a walking area

- It will collect movement statistic like speed, distance walked, etc

- Implement a visualization dashboard which display all the corrected statistics for doctors to see.

- It will alert the hospital authority if they move outside the walking zone [Optional]

- Post a message in Twitter if they finish their required walking limit

The AB Pty. Ltd appointed you as an ICT professional to develop smart application for simulation in Bluemix.
