Problem:

Assume that you have a reservoir of water at 50 degrees F. You want to raise the temperature of water to 100 degrees F by pumping it through a 50,000 BTU water heater.

Question- What is the maximum flow rate of the water, in cubic feet per minute that keeps the temperature above 100 degrees F. The water temperature will be raised 50 degrees F. put the 50 degrees into a variable so that the change in water temperature can be changed to a different value and a new flow rate will be calculated. Assume: 1 BTU will raise the temperature of 1 pound of water 1 degree F. 1 ft3 of water weighs 62.4 pounds.

Please show your work step by step to solve this problem.
