Modify match and grep to work with UTF-8 strings of Unicode characters. Because UTF-8 and Unicode are a superset of ASCII, this change is upwardly compatible. Regular expressions, as well as the searched text, will also need to work properly with UTF-8. How should character classes be implemented?
