Introduction:

Knowledge networking as a process is the act of bringing together peoples knowledge and skills with the aim of fulfilling their personal goals or organizational objectives. This goes further on to the evolution and manipulation of this information into forms that can help achieve a person's set out objectives.

Roles of knowledge networks:

This networks help make information that one has useful and channels it into means that can benefit a person. Having information is good but if it is not manipulated and cut down into important segments that have meaning to the user, then it is useless. Once the information is made meaningful, it can then help one work on their personal goals while they are informed.

Through the analysis of information, one is able to establish patterns in the information that they have. This goes a long way in helping make predictions on issues or divides the information into chunks that are meant to address specific problems. Such patterns can also help one make decisions based on the trends that they have been able to predict.

Managing knowledge networks:

Managing knowledge networks is all about making the knowledge that has been acquired count. It is what we do with the information that we have gotten and how we handle it for our benefit for example;

There has to be openness in the way people communicate where this requires people who are informed to pass on that which they have to others. If they keep it to themselves then this will never be known so that it can be used for the benefit of the individual and others.

There needs to be a level of freedom in expressing one's thoughts and feelings. People need to be given the chance to express that which they feel without feeling oppressed and their opinions need to be respected.
