Give brief summary of common aspects found in spreadsheets

-  It's made up of columns and rows; every row is identified by a number and every column is identified with a letter (or letters)

-  Every cell is identified by its column id and row id for example A4, ET300 etc.

-  A cell may contain a label (text entry such as MEAN VALUE) or a value (that can be a number, a formula, a date, currency, or result of a calculation)

-  Cursor identifies the current cell selected; it's possible to click on to a cell and a "+" sign appears in the bottom right hand corner; by dragging formula down it's possible to replicate it in other cells
