For thousands of years, humans evolved and changed through evolutionary catalysts such as trade, exploration and war. The common thread between all of these examples is technology. From the wheel to electricity, technology has changed the way human beings live, interact and grow. Moreover, with each new progression, society has changed, but depending on your perspective, that change could be for better or for worse.

These societal changes are the focus of this Discussion. Consider the different leaps in technology humans have made over the course of its existence. Focusing on one technology of your choosing (e.g. internal combustion engines, television, the telephone, etc.), you will identify how the invention and widespread adoption of this technology changed society, as well as who benefited most and who did not. You will also analyse how changing technology changes societal norms and social values.
To complete this Discussion:

Post: Create an initial post in which you analyse how a technology, of your choosing, has affected society. In your analysis, summarise your selected technology, its adoption and how it impacts society. Include another analysis on how your selected technology changed societal norms and/or social values. Furthermore, identify whom your selected technology affected and explain how some groups, if any, benefited and other groups, if any, did not. Explain why you think these groups were affected in the manner that they were.
