For this unit, you will be analyzing the business case and learning about the process of managing system projects. You will become familiar with the SCR case study involving the new TIMS system and your very important role! Be sure to read through all the documents on the SCR site. Each week you will be referring to the emails, voicemails and To Do list provided by your manager Jesse. There are also supporting documents on the site that are referenced for some of the assignments.

Please be sure to become familiar with the site! Referring to your case study, please complete the following objectives to start this process!

1. Conduct a SWOT analysis for SCR and develop a balanced scorecard regarding what you have learned about the company mission, resources and future expansion goals to include the training program.

2. Draft a project scope statement for the TIMS system and describe the constraints. Please be sure to be specific. The author does a very good job providing examples of both good and bad scope statements.

3. Investigate GanttProject software to determine whether it would be suitable for SCR. Prepare a summary of pros and cons, and a sample of screen shots and information.

Project requirements:

1. SWOT analysis was conducted with resulting balanced scorecard regarding described criteria.

2. Scope Statement was submitted and contains information specific to the TIMS System.

3. Scope Statement describes the constraints on the scope of the TIMS development as discussed in the reading assignments.

4. GanttProject software was researched and reviewed as an appropriate tool (or not) with accompanied screenshots to demonstrate functionality.
