For this project, you will be continuing to enhance your course project. Web applications can be used for a variety of purposes, and many of them allow or even require registration of the users, so each will have their own accounts. Individual user accounts can be used to identify the user and store information for the user such as billing and contact information, sales history, preferences, and more. User accounts also add to the security of a Web site by restricting access to pages of the site based on user rights.

For this project, you will be adding ASP.NET membership and roles to your Web application. The database for membership and the code used to log in and secure pages is included in ASP.NET and provides a lot of power with minimal effort.

The following are the project deliverables:

Application Design Document
Use MS Word
Title Page
Course number and name
Project name
Student name
Date
Add a Membership and Roles section to your design document
Briefly describe your implementation process for the Membership and Roles functionality.
List the roles added to the system and which pages of your site are accessible by each role.
IMPORTANT: Provide the instructor with username and passwords that can be used to access your site for each role.
Name the document "yourname_ITSD425_IP4.doc."
Application Updates
Add the ASP.NET membership database to your application database.
Add log-in capability to your application.
Add role level security to your application (be sure to document the roles and page privileges in your design document).
Implement the changes required to the application to secure some of the pages in your application.
Log-in credentials should be provided to allow the instructor to log in under each role you have created
Be sure to include a thorough description of the changes made for this assignment in a "PROJECT_UPDATE.DOCX" in the project folder. This document will identify the areas of the application that demonstrate the satisfaction of each of the requirements.
The project folder should be zipped to a file called "ITSD425_IP2.ZIP." The file should include the design document and all project files.
