Samy Kamkar built a $5 Raspberry Pi Zero device that he calls PoisionTap. He claims that all he has to do is plug the device into a computer's USB port and it'll easily hijack the computer and steal data from it. Kamkar says that even if the computer is locked and password protected that it will still be able to infiltrate the computer. His $5 device fools the computer into thinking that it is an ordinary network adapter to gain entry to the computer. Once PoisionTap has access to the computer it begins it's nasty little business stealing data, cookies, and even has the ability to intercept network traffic and re-route request. Kamkar claims the only way to prevent a device like PoisionTap from being able to hijack your computer is by filling your USB ports with epoxy to prevent anything from being plugged into them.
