Project Description - (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word)

Your assignment will be based on a place you would like to visit, such as a particular city, state, country.

Place to visit is JAMAICA WEST INDIES.

You will do research on the location and will create a flyer in MS Word, a worksheet and charts in MS Excel, and present your findings to the class using MS PowerPoint. Your project must include the elements outlined below:

MS Word -

You are to create a flyer representing your Research Topic. Your flyer must be on one page, contain a page border, a bulleted list of at least 4 items your presentation will discuss and two paragraphs that are at four to five sentences that describe your topic. Your flyer should also contain at least two graphics, wrapped text, that represents your topic. Flyer must be in two column format. Also, you are to change the background color of your flyer. The flyer should contain a header with your name right- aligned, and a footer with the page number centered. The Flyer must be uploaded in Blackboard.

MS Excel -

You are to create a worksheet and 2 charts representing some type of data in relation to your final topic. These charts should contain data representing your topic. The charts MUST be included in your presentation as a separate slide. Your charts MUST include a title, legend, axis titles, and include data labels. One chart must be moved to a separate worksheet. Worksheet tabs should be appropriately named and color changed. You must use 2 different types of charts. You MUST upload the workbook in Blackboard that includes the data from your charts.

All charts and graphs should include a footnote indicating where you obtained your data. YOUR CHART IS TO BE CREATED, NOT COPIED FROM A WEBSITE AND PASTED INTO YOUR POWERPOINT!

Power Point Presentation -

Title for PowerPoint is: Jamaica a beautiful island in the Caribbean.

During your assigned time, you will be required to present to the class a 5- 10-minute overview of your topic. PowerPoint must be used. You should be able to discuss your view and answer basic questions. Your PowerPoint must contain a Title page, an Introduction page, your sources (at least 3) and hyperlinks to any webpages referenced), and should be 6-10 slides (No more than 10, and no less than 6). The title page does not count. Your title page, must include your name in the subtitle as the presenter. The title of your presentation should be appropriate to your topic. Each slide should have a title, with an appropriate name. You are required to use at least three different layouts for your presentation, and on one slide a picture should be used as the background. You are required to insert at a minimum 2 graphical elements and both charts you created in the MS Excel portion of the project. Your PowerPoint must contain at least two transitions between slides, 2 slides with animation and you MUST print out a 6-slide vertical or horizontal printout at the time you do your presentation, and give to your instructor BEFORE presenting your topic. You must upload the presentation in Blackboard. You will be required to present your topic, without paragraphs of text. You are to use bullets to outline the key points you will be discussing. and be able to answer a few basic questions on your topic.
