Evaluate and Investigate different Gas Turbine Engine configurations in use for commercial or military Gas Turbine Engine aircraft.

1) Through research, investigate the differences among gross thrust and net thrust.

2) By using two different engines: a high by-pass, triple spool turbo fan engine, and a turbo propeller engine (free-turbine), compare these engines and evaluate their performances with regard to particular Fuel Consumption, Operational and Range Altitudes.

3) State the factors which will influence thrust and elucidate the effects upon engine operation.

Your report must be approximately 2500 words (+/- 10%) and hold relevant operating graphs, diagrams and exs.
