Create a traditional fl ipbook animation. With a note pad bound at the top, draw a series of contour line sketches on the bottom third of each page. Each sketch should vary slightly from the one on the preceding page, and fl ipping through all the sketches should create apparent movement of the object. The frames of the animation can also be created on a CAD program. Use a uniformly sized border around each frame of the animation and try to fi t four to six frames on each sheet of paper. Starting with simple objects (e.g., a cube), create animations of the object:

a. Translating along one axis.

b. Translating along two axes in sequence.

c. Translating along two axes simultaneously.

d. Rotating about one axis.

e. Rotating about two axes in sequence.

f. Rotating about two axes simultaneously.

g. Rotating and translating in sequence.

h. Rotating and translating simultaneously.
