The Professional Scientific Staff Management (PSSM) Minicase will be used throughout the first six weeks in this course. The minicase description is in two sections. The first section focuses on the preliminary planning stage of development. It is an overview of what the costs and benefits of the potential system could be. The information needs to be crystallized into a system request that will convince management personnel that they should proceed with the project. The second section of the minicase description is a requirements analysis of the system. It will be the foundation for information that you will use to design the system using UML tools through the UP phases.

Here is the PSSM Minicase: PSSM Minicase Description.

You will also need to work with templates in some of the weeks, such as the user case description template for Week 2. Here is a link to all of the templates you will need for this course: System Development Templates.
