Is intersection layout obvious to all road users? Is alignment of curbs obvious and suitable? Is alignment of traffic islands obvious and suitable? Is alignment of medians obvious and suitable? Can all probable vehicle types be accommodated? Are merge tapers long adequate? Is intersection free of capacity problems which may produce safety problems? Are there adequate visual cues to prevent overshooting into the conflicting traffic?
