Acme, Inc. is the worldwide leader in producing Widgets. You have just been promoted to the network security department. Part of your responsibilities is to proactively secure the network. If a system intrusion is detected, you are to act accordingly.

You have some details about the Acme network: it comprises Microsoft Windows servers (2000 and 2003) and Linux servers; the workstations are mostly XP, but there are also Linux and Mac workstations used; they have email, web servers, and wireless access at headquarters, the warehouse, and the homes of the executives. Network hardware consists of switches, routers, and access points.

The main project the security team is working on is verifying the current network policies and systems that will protect the network. A team of three is being created to hack into the network.
