A laptop that feel off a table no more than there feet. The laptop was in pretty good shape, but after trying to turn it on she received error messages about the boot device (hard drive) not being found. The hard drive was NOT a solid state drive, but more like the one displayed below (just the smaller 2.5 laptop size).

Based on this NOT being a solid state drive and using the terminology from the image at the bottom, what might have happened to her laptop to cause it not to boot?
