1. Your tutor will provide you with a topic.
2. Research the topic. You will need to investigate details about the trend or the technology including:
• What it is
• How it works
• How it is used or will be used
• The advantages or benefits compared with existing technologies (if any)
• The disadvantages or potential disadvantages

You will need to research a number of sources to obtain the relevant information. At least four of these sources should be used for your report and your presentation. The resources must be credible, current (no earlier than 2010) and available in English from a number of different sources. Do not use Wikipedia.

3. Produce a written article of about 1200 words (not including the reference list) using Microsoft Word.
Consider the audience for your report to be first-year students, so do not make your report too technical. The report must be carefully spell checked and proofread.

The report must be one file and include the following features:
• MIBT assignment cover sheet as the first page (no header or footer)
• Title page with the topic and your details (no header or footer). A Table of Contents is not required
• Details about the topic with headings such as Introduction, Conclusion, References and as per Task 2.
• A header with the code and name of this unit and the topic
• A footer with your name, MIBT id. number and the page number
• A minimum of two styles - one for headings and one for the body type and used throughout the assignment. These styles should be named My-heading and My-maintext respectively

• Two graphics included within the report from one of your sources i.e. not Google images
• Two columns where appropriate within the report
• Borders, shading, lines and bullet points where appropriateThe list of the references you have used, presented in Harvard style.
• The word count inserted at the end of report, after the references, and aligned rightCreate a presentation of 12 slides using Microsoft PowerPoint. The presentation must include the following:
• An appropriate business style design template
• Title slide with the topic and your details
• An appropriate amount of text per slide
• Effects to build each point in relevant order
• Three images relevant to the topic and kept in proportion

• References list at the end of the presentation
