1: To solve a linear system algebraically is to use the substitution any other example?
EX y=2x+4 3x+y=9
Y=2*1 +4 3x+ (2x+4)=9
Y=6 5x+4-4=9-4
(1,6) 5/5x=5/5=1

2:A system of equations of a linear equations comprises two or more equations each equation corresponds with a straight line corresponds and seeks out the point where the two lines intersect.

3:How do you solve a system of linear equations by substitution? How do you solve a system of linear equations by elimination? Give an example of each method.

I thought I would post a few things I know about static routing.

Static routing is a manual way to set up a router for addressing and packet forwarding. The IP address is normally configured by an administrator using a predetermined path. Entries in a routing table must be configured for all the network destinations and can not be changed unless the administrator makes the changes. Static routing has advantages and disadvantages. Once advantage is that the path is always known and can be controlled because it is unchangeable. Another advantage is that it is easy to configure on a small network when compared to dynamic routing. One disadvantage is that there is no redundancy since the network path is predetermined. Packets must be sent at that available path. Static routing will not work well on large networks since manually configuring multiple switches and routers would be a headache for administrators, not to mention the length of time it would take to implement and maintain.

5:Dynamic routing is a router configuration where a routing protocol sends packets based on current conditions and traffic. Routers select a path based on real time network changes. Dynamic routing is a more optimal way to route data when compared to static routing since the router can change a path. In static routing, the path is fixed and cannot be changed by the router. Dynamic routing also uses more bandwidth that static routing since it is constantly trying to figure out the best network path. The router's CPU and memory will also be used more often because of routing protocols. One big advantage is redundancy, since the router can determine the path of traffic, if one route does not work it can automatically chose the next best path without delays or loss of data. It automatically adapts and is much easier to configure for larger networks. One disadvantage is the it is less secure. Why is Dynamic routing less secure and what are some ways to improve security?

6:During this exercise I couldn't help but to notice that cisco has a lot of IOS commands, granted we only use a couple during this exercise, but remember what each one does will be tricky. For example, to restart an interface you are shutdown / no shutdown, this will cause the interface to shut down and to restart. The other interesting part about a cisco switch is that you must write the changes to nvram otherwise you will lose the changes when the device restarts. Personally, I have heard my network engineer say "S**T, I didn't save to memory, now I have to start all over" when working on cisco device. I guess this is both for good and bad, because it will only apply the change you want when you want it to and prevents from breaking the working configuration.
