Your account is overdrawn for 3 days when you deposit a check for $256. What is your account balance after depositing the check? Will you have enough money to pay your $52 electric bill (assuming no other money is spent)
2. You live 10 miles away from where you work. If you work a full week (5 business days)  how many miles will you travel? Remember, you are calculating round trip mileage. If your car gets 23 miles per gallon, how many gallons of gas would you use for that week's commute? If gas is $3.55 per gallon, how much money would you spend in gas for that week (only counting your commute)?
3.  A computer repair person charges $40 flat fee to inspect your broken computer. He also charges $35 an hour in labor. If the repair person works on your for 3 hours and charges you $42 in parts, how much will total bill be?
4. Your job is sending you out of state for a meeting. They have given you $300 in your expense account for food. You will be at the conference for 4 whole days and will require breakfast, lunch, and dinner for each of these days. How much money should you plan to spend per day? Estimate how much money you are allotted spend per meal?
5.  The area of a football field can be calculated by multiplying the length and width of the field. (that is, A= I .w) Find the area of a regulation football field in feet, given that the length of the field is 360 feet (120 yards) and the width is 160 feet (53 1/3 yards)
