Case Study Assessment Task 2 -

PART A - You are to take a serious look at the Bounce fitness marketing issue relating to client satisfaction within the company. Then you are to investigate and track the marketing issue through:

  • Information gathering and analysis
  • Decision making and taking, and dissemination to relevant groups and individuals (to be allocated by your trainer)
  • Develop and utilise an information storage and retrieval system (as well as access informal knowledge and information from informal networks across the organisation)

This project requires you to:

Obtain information by using relevant formal and informal networks keeping in mind staff and client feedback and business performance data. After identifying, defining business problems and issues, you are then required to reach a decision on problems/issues by sourcing, gathering and testing reliable/valid information and reject where contradictory.

Analyse information and knowledge, ensuring the objectives for analyses are clear, relevant and consistent with the decisions required. You are also to identify patterns and emerging trends correctly and interpret as to cause and effect by utilizing statistical, sensitivity analyses and interpretation where appropriate. Ensure documentation reflects a logical approach to the evaluation of the evidence and conclusions drawn and then adjust management information systems/decision support systems to meet information processing objectives.

Next, you are to present a recommendation and decision on your information/evidence, ensuring it is sufficient, valid and reliable to support a decision. These decision are to be consistent with organisational objectives, values, standards, organisational guidelines and procedures. You are to consult specialists/relevant groups; use risk management plans to determine acceptable courses of action; utilise appropriate quantitative methods to assist decision making and ensure timely decision taken are within the delegation/accountability of the group/individual responsible.      

Part B - Continuing from PART A you are to implement and maintain the change management strategy within your group. You are to undertake this project using your RTO as Bounce Fitness; you are to implement your process under the direct supervision of your assessor (CEO).

Regardless of which process you are following; your assessor will observe you for the following:

Undertake regular surveys to ensure the team and management still support the activities based from your organisation development program

Maintain regular contact with those implementing the action plan

Conduct follow-up meetings to ensure the implementation or action plan is being followed

Identify and rectify issues as they arise

Ensure you or your manager continue to champion the program

Undertake and present a final evaluation of the program in terms of:

a. Costs

b. Benefits

c. Opportunity costs

You are to submit the following as evidence for this task -

  • A journal detailing the process and steps undertake during implementation and monitoring
  • Copies of surveys
  • Minutes of meetings
  • Evidence of championing the program
  • Final evaluation

At various points, your assessor will observe you undertaking some of the above actions. Your assessor will advise you prior to attending theses sessions. These answers will form part of the evidence gathered for this unit.
