For this Critical Thinking Assignment, you have been asked by IKEA to assist in making necessary organizational chart changes which will encourage better support of its international strategy. Let's assume that some top IKEA executives like and want to keep the current structure. In terms of this assignment, consider that recently there has been pressure from some IKEA leaders for the redevelopment/examination of IKEA's innovative approach, as related to global expansion. As you develop your paper, consider how organizational structure contributes or hinders innovation and global expansion.

To complete the new proposed organization chart, review the IKEA case study from Chapter 8 of Grant and Jordan (2012) in addition to information about IKEA on the internet. 

Decide what you think would be the best organizational structure for IKEA based on the strategy implementation concepts presented in this course. Be aware that you will need to substantiate your recommended organizational structure changes. Then, proceed to the internet to find one of several free software programs used to develop an organization chart. Use one of the software programs to compile your suggested chart.

Your paper should be between 4-6 pages in length (not including title or reference pages) and conform to APA Requirements. Include at least four scholarly references.

You must include the following in your paper:
• Thesis of your paper (what you will be presenting).
• Your proposed organization chart/s (Figure X). (Remember that the new organizational structure has to support the effectiveness of IKEA's international strategy.)
• Discuss and explain (substantiate) how you determined that the changes to the new structure are good for IKEA.
• Discuss how IKEA's current organizational structure hinders innovation and global expansionand how IKEA's new organizational structure can contribute to innovation and global expansion.

• Summary of the highlights of your paper.

Requirements for the paper:

• Use strategy implementation concepts from the course, such as "functionally oriented" and "cross-functional factors."
• Remember that the organizational chart has to relate to IKEA.
• Be familiar with chapters 8 and 9 of the course textbook.

• References (at least 4 scholarly references).
