Research the employment laws in your state by visiting (your two-letter state designation).gov. (for ex, az.gov; mi.gov.; or va.gov.). Insert ‘employment laws’ into the Search area of the Website and review the different designations of employment laws which are listed.

Select one of the given HRM strategy problems and apply the employment laws of your state to this problem.

A) The need for seasonal employees who might be from another country.

B) Benefits reduce for the whole employee population.

C) Disciplinary action training for the supervisors of diverse employees.

D) Introduction of new technology for employees who might experience physical limitations.

prepare a six to eight (6 - 8) page paper in which you:

1) describe the scenario that you have chosen and its corresponding employment laws.

2) Propose a plan to manage the HRM situation in the confines of law.

3) Justify your approach to your scenario to the HR management.

4) State how a competitive advantage might be gained by making sure HRM practices meet the essential employment laws.

5) Speculate what might happen if the condition was not handled in accordance with the suitable employment laws.

6) Use at least three quality academic resources in this assignment.

Part B: HRM and Culture

Read ‘Strategic Human Resource MGT International HRM Supplement’ that is listed in the Required Materials for this course. On the last page, a mini case describes the plight of one Korean woman who tried to make a difference in her company. Review this case all along with the rest of the supplement and consider how to make a difference in this company. Develop a training plan for a newly created technological advance in the company of your choice. Be sure to state how it aligns with the HRM strategy.

prepare an eight to ten (8 - 10) page paper in which you:

1) Find out if and how the HRM practices align with the company’s business strategy.

2) Discuss how hiring more women and promoting them could enhance the competitive advantage of this company.

3) Prepare a recruitment and retention plan for this company which specifically targets women employees.

4) List three potential obstacles which this company could face in its quest to diversify its workforce in this specific culture.

5) Propose two HRM strategies that this company could enforce to enhance the visibility of its women employees.

6) Use at least three quality academic resources in this assignment.
