- Identify characteristics in the print such as pattern type, pores, Galton characteristics, scars, incipient ridges, and ridge shapes. Mark and label these characteristics carefully.

- The assignment can be completed by either marking the print in Microsoft word by using arrows and text box tools or scan the labeled print as a jpg file and download in the project under assignments.

- There is no written assignment. All identifying features are to be labeled on the fingerprint image as you would label and exhibit for court.
