Question: Ratio Analysis Group Presentation

- You will be placed into small groups (2-3 per group) by your instructor. In Week 8 will analyze a company's ratios and present this analysis in the form of a 10-12 minute group PowerPoint presentation.

- Together, agree on an industry you would like to analyze and then locate three companies in this industry, one of these companies should be chosen as the parent company. The other companies you will consider your competitors to which you will be comparing your ratios and performance.

- Locate the 2016 annual report for each company you will be analyzing.

- Conduct an internet search by investigating websites and tools that will help you perform ratio analysis on these companies. Share your research and findings with your peers.

- Finalize ratio calculation and analysis for each company. Compare the ratios of the parent company to the other two companies (competitors). Collaborate on a PowerPoint presentation to report on your findings and conclusions. In your presentation, include a summary of the ratios you used to perform the analysis and an analysis of how the parent company performs relative to its two competitors. Identify where the parent company might have certain issues and where you might recommend further investigation. Use Excel to present your ratio calculations that support your group's Power Point presentation. The Power Point presentation should 8 - 10 slides and a maximum of 10-12 minutes long. Each group member should choose a section to present.
