Question: Leadership Development Strategy: As a way of clarifying the assignment for this week, I'm looking for you to articulate your position on the issue of leadership. You will likely be in a position to either build future leaders or aspire to be one yourself. This paper should look at the process for equipping leaders, identify biblical principles for good leadership, and review resources that contribute to the discussion of quality leadership both in the local church as well as global ministry. Be sure to review the rubric instructions so that your paper aligns accordingly.

As you begin, I would suggest the following tips:

- Collect your sources (a minimum of 3 but I recommend at least 5).

- Review the material in those sources, keeping in mind that you're looking for material to develop an outline.

- Craft a preliminary 3-point outline based on what you've read.

- Write your paper, filling in each point of that outline.

- Include biblical references, personal experiences, and outside resources.

- Specifically, your paper should address the following:

a. Articulate your philosophy of leadership development along with the biblical and theological foundations. (300-500 words)

b. Give basic information such as size, types of ministries, leaders needed, strengths and weaknesses, and unique features. (300-500 words)

c. Demonstrate how you will implement a comprehensive program to recruit, train, and place leaders in ministry positions in your church or Christian organization in specific ways. Explain how you will discover, enlist, train, and retain leaders in ministry. This will be the practical part of your paper and must provide guidance for the next steps. (500-750 words)

d. Summarize how you will be able to keep leadership development ongoing. Consider how you will consistently motivate leaders, how you will you maintain training, and how you will keep a new supply of leaders coming into the ministry. (300-500 words)

Current Turabian format must be used in all formatting, including the title page, pagination, footnotes, and bibliography. The paper must be 1,400-2,250 words, not including the title page and bibliography, and must incorporate 3-5 scholarly sources and at least 5 biblical references.
