Part 1 -

Develop a program for the recruitment of a person to a new position in an organisation.

The program needs to include:

  • justification for the new position
  • organisational chart of where the position fits
  • a position description
  • personal specifications
  • selection criteria
  • additional information required by an applicant
  • an advertising strategy
  • an interview plan
  • other relevant documents as required by your organisation
  • what consultation took place and with whom
  • how you will plan and organise the induction program

The program should contain at least 1,500 words.

Part 2 -

What types of testing procedures can be used by an organisation to ensure that the candidates selected for a job are the most suitable? Explain why these tests are the best methods for selecting staff. What procedures can you follow to inform unsuccessful candidates? (150 words)

Project 3 -

Research the regulatory requirements for the operation of a business in the hospitality, travel or tourism industry. Include information on how the business can demonstrate compliance with the regulatory requirements and whom within the business should assume responsibility for compliance. Also include information on the penalties and consequences of non-compliance. Make recommendations about any workplace policies or procedures that should be available to support compliance. Acknowledge your sources of information.

Prepare a 2,500-3,000-word report to communicate your results.
