Part 1

In a group of 5, you will present a role play of a conflict in the workplace and the resolution. You will have 15 minutes to perform the role play in class. Following the role play you have 10 minutes to explain and support your approach to the conflict resolution and answer any questions from the audience.

Part 2

Individual students are to write a reportbased on the following.

1) Scenario/Background setting

Adetailed descriptionof the work place scenario, background of the conflict (i.e. how did it start, who was involved etc...)

2) Effects of the Conflict

Adetailed description(with examples) how the conflict in the team affects the individual, the team and the organisation.

3) Conflict Resolution Process/ Rationale

A detailed explanation of the conflict resolution process and why you choose this approach.

4) Evaluating consequences

A detailed description of lesson learnt from the above conflict, i.e.As well as being able to handle conflict when it arises, you need to develop ways of preventing conflict from becoming damaging. What might be some ways to go about this?

It is expected that the report will demonstrate clearly the evidence of reading/ use of literature and a developed argument where the readings are thoroughly analyzed, applied and discussed, in a logical structure.

The report should be correctly referenced, using APA referencing format. A 1000 word limit (within 10%) for the report will apply.
