In general, managers who diligently complete all six steps of the rational decision making model will make better decisions than those who do not. In theory, fully rational decision makers maximize decisions by choosing the optimal solution. In practice, however, this is often easier said than done.
•Use the Internet and/or other sources to research a company that is currently facing a significant dilemma. Read at least two articles to study the problem, research potential solutions, and determine how the rational decision-making process can be applied to discuss what should be done. Describe how using the rational decision making process could improve the quality of the decisions being made.
