This creates increased demand on MIS personnel to help manage, control, and provide access to that information-not just on company-issued computers, but on any number of devices, including personal ones. More and more employees want to be able to utilize their own computing devices-cell phones, netbooks, laptops-instead of company-issued ones.
For instance, many students graduating from college have been exposed to Macs and may even own one, yet they are finding PCs as the standard computer of choice for most companies.
