Are you a leader or a manager?

This excellent video by Mark Sanborn describes the difference between leaders and managers, which is an important part of Week 1. Cross-reference this video with the book by Dubrin (Table 1-1, p. 5). Consider yourself development, and what you really aspire to be. Leadership is not for everybody. It should be noted there are many different types of leadership.

Evaluative criteria

Timeliness of postings and frequency of postings        

Posts more than one (1) response to questions and more than one (1) response to colleagues' postings for each assessment, within time frames. Each posting is a minimum of 200 words and a maximum 300 words

Quality of postings            

Clearly articulated responses to questions involving argument and discussion. Adds to knowledge and understanding of topic. Interprets and answers questions and acknowledges responses from colleagues, promoting engagement in discussion amongst colleagues and fully advancing discussions. Answers supported by text, references, etc.

Structure         

Succinct and appropriate language and composition. Includes citations. No grammatical errors. Appropriate referencing and formatting used.
