You will choose one television show (cable or Netflix) and analyze the episode for its portrayal of a specific group (could be females, LGBTQ, race, religious, etc.). You will answer the following questions:

1) Does the show portray this group or individual in a stereotypical manner? Or, does the show challenge stereotypes?

2) Are these portrayals negative or positive?

3) What issues or concerns might arise for portraying individuals or groups in such a manner?

As part of the paper you should identify what stereotypes are and explain how the portrayal of particular groups of people in television privileges them, or other groups.
