You will choose one ethical issue in science, research the ethical issue and write a two to three page information on the issue.

Examples of issues to write on are: Stem cell research

You are required to express your stand on the issue. The overall goal is to discuss your ethical reasoning and considerations for the topic that you have chosen.  This is a research paper and as such, you are required to reference all materials in text and in the reference section. You should only use the APA format of referencing.

1. Define ethics and bioethics.

2. Review the history of your topic. When did this all start in human history?

3. Discuss the conflict or problems with your topic. Are there facts in support or against the topic?

4. Discuss the positives of your topic. What are the benefits of continuing in this area of research?

5. Explain your values upheld and those violated by your topic - 10 points. What is your personal view when it comes to this topic? Are your values supported or is the topic in conflict with what you believe?

6. Express your ethical reasonings and considerations for your values? What is/are responsible for your response to item # 6?

7. New information gained  from your research - 10 points. What have you learned by doing your research?

8. Reach your conclusion and future ethical directions. What do you think will be the future of research in this area? Do you think it has the potential to lead to greater discoveries? or it is a dead end?

9. In text citation and a reference section must be in APA format.

10. Structure/style of your writing.
