You have been selected to present a historical talk to a group of health care professionals at a local conference. Your topic is the history of information management in health care and its role in 21st Century Health Care. Using your textbook and several Internet searches of noncommercial Web sites (such as .gov, .org, or .edu), research the health information management profession, and describe how it has changed from the days of records librarians to the current environment of health informatics and information management. 

Describe at least 1 function that is vastly different in today's HIM department than it was in traditional (earlier) departments. Be specific and detailed in your description, including the following at a minimum:

•tools or equipment used
•time involved in the task completion
•the facilities and environment 
Create a PowerPoint presentation that is 10-12 slides (minimum, not including the title slide or reference list slide) and includes speaker's notes. This should outline your presentation for the conference. Your presentation should have a minimum of 3 external references (textbook and 2 others).
