Scenario 1:

Analysis helps people understand wheter an idea is a good one or not, or whether a policy should be followed or not.

For example, there was a discussion on our campus about giving the student government the responsability to operate the student union. The university would allow the students to decide what restaurants and stores would operate in the building, how meeting rooms would be used, and other matters. Interested parties were considering whether this change would be beneficial. An analysis of the issues involved in a decision such as this one could help the decision makers understand what will be at stake, and they could then make an informed choice when they voted on the issue. On pur campus, there is an issues that you might analyse:

- Availability of the professors during their office hours ( and at other times ).

Writing assignment: select a complex problem that affects you or others and construct a report that analyses the problem and offers insights about it.

For this essay, you are to choose a problem at your school (Florida National University) that you feel needs to be addressed (for example, parking). Within your essay, you are to provide two sources within your work that supports your stance on the problem you have identified.
