Mobile data is not only about the smartphone usage for consumer needs but is also created for other services. Strictly speaking, it is similar to the data created using web, the only difference is that the consumers produce more data based on switching behavior to digital methods. Data is created, even when the phones are not used.

In recent enterprise mobility landscape is a matter of balancing between increasing employee demands and increasing security risks. According to Reimer (2013), businesses face pressure from employees to provide or allow competitive devices that feature the latest technology available. Also, the reality of security threats and the need for consistent functionality creates a legitimate concern for IT departments.

Mobile computing is used for optimization and personalize services, where data retention is key service, and the developers use this to compare the numbers with other applications in the similar categories to gain insight and think of what might have to be changed to improve. Also, data for the location is an essential component for mobile data- and it perhaps is the primary data to help transform the mobile advertising industry, in order to have an ability to deliver real-time and targeted advertising which represents an evolution in the market.

For example, Amazon is working out how to gain secure access to your car and your house, even when you are out which has implications for last-mile deliverers. According to Logistics Business, as stated by Jinks (2017), Amazon has cracked the problem of how to deliver groceries to your fridge or into your car boot, without shoppers even having to be there - thanks to smart access technology. The company has been working with an automotive tech company to enable access your car's boot or hatch; and on a ‘smart doorbell' that gives one-time access to your home for deliveries.
