This is my assignment in Dental Office Management. Since I English is not my first language i would like someone who would help me with my English construction.Feel free to revise it.
Being a Personal Support Worker (PSW) student, my time working with elderly volunteers at House of Maria (Home for the Aged) allowed me to see several workers working together from volunteers, workers, and staffs to director. Working in the said place was never a joke since it has a wide property and two buildings with 14 permanent workers including staffs over 125 residents and some volunteers from different schools. You would think how this would work and how everything can be done each day. But when the Director gave clear instruction to the staffs, they ran smoothly with little disruption from problems. As a result of this, the staff workers were able to form a close bond that made the work easier for everyone. For instance, staffs divide workers and volunteers in several groups and assign each group to their daily task. The groups had a rotation schedule to be fair with others who had a difficult task. Each team also had a leader to take care of his/her member and make sure they are doing well and when they work together as a team, it makes their work efficiently. Also there were never any problems where information got lost in translation because the staffs knew what was expected of them each day, and knew that there was no problem with asking questions if they needed another explanation. Working in a dental field can also be efficient when you are working as a team. If you have free time your co-hygienist has not done with his/her client and there is another client waiting for your co-hygienist to get teeth done you don’t want to wait her too long. Help your co-worker and take the other client. Remember that you are playing for the team with one goal.
