Samuel Huntington's seminal article titled "The Clash of Civilizations" (1993) has had its share of scholars and professionals debating its core tenets and assertions.

Introduced more than 20 years ago, the theory remains a continuing source of discussion and debate, especially in the light of proliferating global terrorism. In fact, this week we see the term rear its head in present-day politics during President Trump's trip to the G20.
