Write a research paper about The importance of ethics in American politics

Note: Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, and Aquinas took keen interest in discussing ethics. You MUST highlight these philosophers' contributions and relate them to the importance of ethics in American politics. You can find Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Aquinas, and other philosophers' contributions regarding ethics in the book called - History of Political Philosophy written by Leo Strauss and Joseph Cropsey.

The Research

The paper must be seven to ten pages long (not including the title page and bibliography), in current Turabian format, with default margins, and in 12-pt Times New Roman font. Each paper must include citations to adequate sources supporting and/or illustrating your positions. The paper must include a title page, an Abstract, and bibliography, also in current Turabian format.

You must develop, explain, and offer defenses for anticipated challenges to the thesis of your paper. Papers that merely "report on" a philosopher, philosophical idea, etc., rather than developing, explaining, and defending a well-crafted thesis will have failed to comply with these instructions.

You must explore the Bible, peer-reviewed articles, books, and relevant websites to develop and analyze why ethics is important in the American political process. Cite some instances of unethical behaviors in American politics with references and stress the need for ethics in American Politics.

Note that at least seven to ten scholarly sources (peer-reviewed academic journal articles or books published by university presses), one of which must be the course text, are required.
