I like your perspective on dealing "with life-threatening issues" when it comes to public health research. I agree with your statement that said."I believe that when dealing with life threatening issues, we must be direct and honest as to what participants should expect when to agree to be a part of the research."I believe that with critical diseases doing research is essential for the purpose of finding better medication for the disease, but I also believe that when using human participant, it is fair if they know exactly the risks and benefits they are getting themselves to when deciding to participate in any research studies.

With that, both randomized and control trials randomized participants that involve in each study which helps ensure less to no bias in the study. I also believe that randomized control trial there are potential for ethical issues when the participants in the control group are deprived of having the treatment that could be a benefit to them during the research would consider unethical, and it is endangering human life. But with crossover trial, these potential ethical issues are minimized by allowing participants the opportunities to have both treatments. I also like your comments on helping "our participants with their life-threatening disease" I believe that when as a public health researcher, we must put our best interest towards the participants to help them with their disease.

Reading your post, I found it interesting how you compare the two randomized trials, The Randomized control trial, and crossover trial into a disease perspective to explain the similarity and differences between the two trials. I agree with you on your statement on randomized control trial that " a placebo group of HIV patients was arguably sacrificed by not receiving the most promising means of treatment available for their individual condition." I also have the same perspective on randomized control trial that the participants that are blinded to receive the placebo are deprived of medical attention they need.

When an individual is not aware that are being deprived of receiving treatment for the disease they had is consider unethical. I like your biblical quote, especially where it says " to have compassion for one another, and care for each other." I feel like a public health researcher should have these personalities because of the type of work they do. Putting people's lives on the line to help find a better research medication, I think that a person needs to consider the benefits of the individuals involved in the studies than just to accomplish the research studies. The main purpose for doing these studies I believe is to end up bringing better treatment to cure a disease, but if it endangers patients lives, then it is unethical in the eyes of God.
