Question#3: The police and their process of hiring police officers can be a difficult issue. Drawing from the reading on "Police Ethics", what are the main points identified in this chapter?

This week we had one video- and an article. The main focus takes us back to perceptions and how easy it is to abuse our power when we know we are right or are we? The article "The Disease of Certainty" is about perceptions and realities, and how we can be influenced. The first video is a lecture about the dangers of our reality or truths and the second video is a case study of a young girl that was murdered and how the father became the focus. After reading the article and watching the videos address answer:

Question#4: What is the "Disease of Certainty", how does this relate back to "Plato's Dividing Line".

Question#5: How can this become potentially and unintentionally a danger of victimizing individuals while yet doing everything investigatory correct?

Question#6: Now on to the second dilemma in applying the five standards: Dispute over a bicycle. Remember perception maybe bigger than reality. Again explain why the action suggested would be the best course of action when applying the moral standards to police work and with a focus on the "Social Contract". You don't have to completely agree, but if you don't, you need to support your answer from the reading.
