Problem Statement

Since the MBC Company business line is to produce TV shows, all requirements related to the TV shows production such as reports and videos have to be archived.

The current situation for the archiving process is to hand any data to the archivist through a memory (Flash Memory), once the archives received the memory He/she will move all the data to external hard drive, label the hard drive with ID, add a record to the excel sheet with all the information and add it to the shelves.

This process has many disadvantages such as:

• Lengthy process: Any request to retrieve any data from the archive has to gone through the archivist, an email has to send including the data subject, then the archivist has to search the excel sheet for the proper hard drive in order to send it back to the requester.

• Difficult to access: other branches in different locations will not be able to access the archive easily.

• High Cost: frequently a new hard drive is required to overcome the full storage problem.

• Lose of data: in case of any hard drive failure, the data will be lost since there is no recovery solution.

• Lack of Security: all hard drives are exposed which can be easily disappear!
